Week 4 Rollover Blues + Week 5: Office Rollovers

  • Photos from our Christmas/6 months shoot arrived. I need to frame them and add them to our wall of fame along with a couple pieces of "art" I already have framed.
  • Create and order Shaun's Valentine's gift, a photo book from Mypublisher.com. I got a code for a $10 book from The Today Show's "Jill's Steals and Deals!"
  • Write in Logan's baby book for month 7 before he turns 9 months old!
  • Transfer my cell's photos to my computer.
  • Schedule 3 contractor quotes for my ever-growing list of home projects that I can't DIY.
  • Schedule a haircut. and color!
  • Bake quiches for the new mommas in my life.
As for those nagging to-do's that continue to be pushed down the priority list...they once again were pushed to the bottom of the list. So, today is Monday and I am going to do what is left of this list.
Today, I am going to add frames to my family wall.
Today, I am going to order Shaun's Valentine's photobook.
Tonight, Shaun and I are going to write in Logan's baby book.
Tonight, I am going to bake and freeze quiches.
This afternoon, I am going to schedule my haircut and color.
This afternoon, I am going to schedule contractor quotes.

Week 5: Office Part Duex
Last week in Target I saw a cute apartment sofa and two ottomans.  I want to buy them and began to fill up the office. I also have rollover to-do's.

  • Paint office chair legs.
  • Make sawhorse desk.
Wish me better luck this week.

Week 4: Loose ends

This week is the week I finally cross off all those little nagging to-do's that keep sliding to the bottom of the list.
Last week, I stopped just researching playgroups and classes for my little man and I. I joined a playgroup and attended and I signed up for a Swim class. Our first class is this Thursday. Also, keeping the social train rolling, I'm going to my cooking club this Wednesday (it was cancelled last week due to the snow storm). On Friday, we're heading back out to the cabin. My parents had to leave for North Dakota yesterday, so they won't be there. Shaun and I are hosting a few friends to enjoy the snow and race the cross-country ski 50k.

Week 4:

Oh, it will feel so good to end the vicious cycle of to-do-this-week rollover of these pesky items.

Week 3: Resolve to Socialize

So, I finished up holiday cards-kinda-and this week I'm working on my resolution to join a playgroup and do ladies night biweekly.
On Tuesday afternoon, I joined 2 other moms for our very first playgroup. Well, expect their babies are 1 month and 4 months so there wasn't much playing. We're planning on meeting again next Tuesday. I also got in contact with a Mother Baby Swim class and I'll be attending on Thursday evenings! I think Logan will love it.
I also did a Ladies Night on Monday. Social Butterfly I am.
I'm now trying to get out to my families cabin where my parents are enjoying the snow, but that snow is car-razy and it is keeping me away.

Week 2: Project 2

Last week I de-cluttered my office. I moved things to storage. I threw things away. I shoved things in the closet. I now have the required workspace for working, but it is a far cry from a space I'd actually want to spend some time in. I did take a trip to the Home ReSource Center and Home Depot. I purchased spray paint for a little leg painting project I have up my sleeve. I also purchased two saw horses to make a trendy little desk. Alas, for another day (anyway I need to secure actual work to do within the workspace fist).

Week 2: This week I am going to finish sending out our Christmas Cards. Which now should just be referred to as Holiday Cards, or perhaps Winter Cards?
I'm also planning a little scouting trip to price out a new electric range and fridge!

Twenty-Twelve

As this is the place I come to attempt to hold myself accountable, it is only fitting that I declare my New Years Resolution unto thee.

·         1. Choose a project a week. 52 projects completed in 2012.
·         2. Recapture some of my pre-mom-ness.
·         3. Date night once a week.
·         4. Ladies night twice a month.
·         5. Join Playgroup and attend once a week.
·         6. Initiate a lunch twice a month.

Allow me to explain these all in more detail as we carry on and carry out these things to which I resolve.

But first Week 1, Project 1. Drum Roll..........De-clutter the office and make it fully functional for office happenings.

      Go.
